I was listening to the recently released Tim Ferriss podcast with Jack Kornfield, and he told a powerful story that I heard before. I first read it in Heart of the Revolution by Noah Levine.
Long story short, a monk, in a time of hardship, began chanting
Hate cannot drive out hate
but by love alone it is conquered.
This is the ancient truth.
Like I mentioned, very powerful & quick story, and starts about at 1:03:00 in the podcast.
Jack Kornfield – Finding Freedom, Love, and Joy in the Present
“If you don’t prioritize your life, someone else will.”
I saw this quote on my internet tab. I use Momentum which is a Chrome extension that has pictures of nature, a to-do list, and sometimes a nice quote.
I first heard about Mobility WOD from my coworker Corey. I liked it but I was honestly not onboard because it cost money. However, it’s only $10 a month! I have a lacrosse ball and a hard foam roller and have done two of the daily mobility exercises. They hurt (in a good way) and I already love it.
The company is Kelly Starrett’s (author of Becoming a Supple Leopard) and listening to him in the Tim Ferris podcast can get you on board with his mission.
I had posted about Jordan Peterson’s Maps of Meaning lectures a while ago. I watched a video on YouTube recently that is 20 minutes long, and was taken from the Maps of Meaning lectures.
It’s my favorite thing on YouTube right now (which isn’t saying much) and I think there’s a lot of good things in there.
Here is the video called Jordan Peterson – How to Live a Meaningful Life
I have been using OZY.com as a news curator for two years now. They send me short emails in the morning that are easy to read and have the low down on the big stories.
Today, I got a special edition regarding the reduction of federal land that is being proposed for a couple national monuments. OZY had some great information that was well organized.
